Weekly Energy Report (01/06/2020)

The first few days of 2020 were quiet for the wholesale markets, and prices are still in a great place for energy buyers. Weather forecasts and other trading fundamentals don’t point to any major price moves this week, and our primary risk point is a sympathetic natural gas price move as events in the Middle East play out and impact the crude oil markets.  We are holding our “Buy” recommendation for both electricity and natural gas – prices are as good as we have seen in several years. Get your rate locked in before winter weather and overseas events push prices up!
