Warm Weather Keeps Pushing Prices Down, but the Long-Term Outlook isn’t Good for Buyers. The Beacon, 03/22/2021

The Headline:   Yet another week of warmer weather and yet another smaller-than-expected natural gas storage withdrawal pushed natural gas and power prices down through 2025, with small price increases after that.  Rig counts dropped again, and the EIA is forecasting below average gas storage levels.

The Bottom Line:    Prices are down, but storage and drilling activity suggests rising prices in the coming months.   Lock in your electricity and natural gas rates now to avoid paying more when prices go up.
