Energy Prices Come Down Slightly as Temperatures Drop. The Beacon, 08/16/2021

The Headline:   Energy prices followed the thermometer again this week, dropping slightly as temperature forecasts move to more seasonal numbers.  Storage is still below average, rig counts are climbing, but slowly, and high international LNG prices continue to drive gas exports.

The Bottom Line:    Lower prices in the short term is good news for energy buyers, but marker fundamentals continue to point to higher prices coming this winter.  A clear buying strategy will be critical for keeping costs as low as possible – use this time to let Lighthouse get your relationship with bidders established so you are ready to strike when the prices are right for you.
