The Start of Some Good News for Energy Buyers, Maybe? The Beacon, 09/20/2021

The Headline:   Gulf drilling rigs are still opening back up, Hurricane Nicholas was less of an event than feared, and the storage injection was healthy this week, so energy prices dropped on Friday, offsetting the increases during the week and allowing some of the forward strips to finish slightly down.                

The Bottom Line:    We are hopeful that prices will continue to come down this week, and that the buyers who have been waiting for a good chance to lock in rates will get an opportunity to do so.   That opportunity may not be around long, so if your LOA isn’t signed yet, or your bidders aren’t lined up, or your strategy isn’t in place, you need to talk to Lighthouse ASAP.
