European Gas Prices are Still Holding US Prices High - The Beacon, 10/11/21

European gas prices are still holding US energy prices high, and the impact seems to be moving beyond the next few months.    Prompt month gas was actually down slightly, but the 60-month average price is up 7 cents.   Warm weather forecasts in the Eastern 2/3 of the US and below-average gas storage levels also feed the bullish narrative on prices.   We recommend sitting tight for the moment – this winter may get painful if you aren’t under contract, and we need to talk through your options if that is the case.
