Prices jump on Monday, and crash on Friday – the Crazy Ride Continues, but May be Ending Soon. The Beacon, 11/01/2021

The Headline:   Energy prices went up at the start of the week, but dropped at the end of the week on continuing strong fundamentals and possible good news out of Europe.                   

The Bottom Line:    Solid storage numbers, mild weather forecasts, and news that Russia may ramp up gas exports to Europe caused a major price drop late in the week.  Prices on the back end of the curve dropped as well, suggesting the market takes this news seriously.  I you are hedged and can stay on the sidelines through the winter, we recommend you do so.  If not, schedule a talk with Lighthouse before taking any action – timing your buy correctly in this market will be essential.
