Prices Rise Slightly on Last Week's Cold Weather, but Your Opportunity Isn’t Gone…Yet. The Beacon, 04/26/2021

The Headline:   Last week’s colder weather led to slight wholesale energy price increases, although an as-expected gas storage report dampened the effect.  Prices are off slightly after 2023, possibly suggesting some easing in market fears about rising long-term price levels.        

The Bottom Line:    This buying opportunity is still available, but is looking increasingly fragile.   We advise locking in long-term rates before a bad hurricane season, a hot summer, or regulatory announcements adverse to the oil and gas industry push prices up.
