Prices Rise Again on More Cold Weather and LNG Exports – Is the Buying Window Closing? The Beacon, 05/03/2021

The Headline:   More cold weather and strong LNG exports led to wholesale energy price increases, with another as-expected gas storage report slowing down the rise.  Prices are up slightly after 2023, as the LNG exports restore market fears about rising long-term price levels.

The Bottom Line:    This buying window may well be coming to an end.  We continue to advise Lighthouse customers to lock in long-term rates before a bad hurricane season, a hot summer, or regulatory announcements adverse to the oil and gas industry push prices up.
